Ipapalabas na ang tagalized version ng hit Thai Movie na "A Crazy Little Thing Called Love" starring Thailand Superstar Mario Maurer. Ngayong linggo (June 5, 2011) before ASAP Rocks! Only on ABS-CBN.

The Schedule is been announced and confirmed by Eric John Salut through his twitter account.

Aksyon TV and TV5 has won the right to cover the PBA games

ABC-5 aka TV5 won the bid for right to cover the PBA Games for next five years. The Manny Pangilinan TV Company met the PBA board requirement of a 5-year term with a base franchise fee of 900Million Pesos.  

TV5 won the bidding after ABS-CBN decided not to submit a bid. So if you ask me, why ABS-CBN didn't submit a bid? I have 2 speculations in my mind. (1) Because ABS-CBN realized that PBA is not getting a good numbers in the ratings game. (2) Dahil hindi kaya ng ABS-CBN na tapatan ang bid ng TV5.

ABC 5 Aksyon TV will telecast the PBA games on IBC 13 and NBC radio.

Amaya at Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin magsasagupaan ngayong lunes!

Nakapili na ng babangain ang bagong palabas ng GMA-7 na "Amaya" at yun ay ang "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin". Kung pag-aaralang mabuti, magaling ang ginawang strategy ng GMA-7 na itapat ang "Amaya" sa "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" dahil ito ay no.3 lang sa primetime shows ng ABS-CBN unlike "100 Days To heaven" na malakas sa Mega Manila at Nationwide. Hindi rin itinapat sa "Mara Clara" dahil may possibility na matalo ito (Amaya) dahil nasa huling dalawang linggo na ang seryeng ito kumbaga nasa sukdulan na ito.

Ang tanong ngayon, magtagumpay kaya ang "Amaya" sa paglaban sa "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" o baka pakainin lang ito ng alikabok ng huli, tulad ng ginagawa nito sa "Munting Heredera".

It looks like GMA News via GMAnews.tv ay bitter sa pelikula ng Star Cinema na "In The Name Of Love". Dahil lumabas sa isang article nito ang mga hindi magagandang komento tungkol sa pelikula ni Angel Locsin at Aga Muhlach.

Instead In The Name of Loveuses flashbacks like crazy, with the camera focusing on an object of the past (the music box, the keychain) which dissolves into a flashback. This function comes to a head when the camera focuses on a calendar with Mt. Fuji and cherry blossoms and the blossoms begin to fall and it flashes back to Emman and Cedes dancing the tango in that setting! It was too magical realist for comfort, out of place in such a serious narrative, and elicited laughter in the almost filled theater.

Now this montage of love and happiness is in every Pinoy romantic movie, so why couldn’t it be here? This is a movie after all that wanted to do everything, and it’s easy to think that these flashbacks might have been a statement on innocence being killed by the enterprise of the OFW, how love is lost in its oppressions, including its aftermath.

Ang pag-asa ng TV5 na "Wiltime Bigtime" is not winning in its timeslot as it is lorded by GMA-7's News Flagship "24 Oras". Kahit ang "TV Patrol ay hindi maipatumba ng show ni Willie. Ibig sabihin ba nito, hindi ganoon kalakas ang appeal ni Willie sa viewers o mas gusto lang panuorin ng mga tao ang balita kesa sa show niya.

However in the daytime slot, It is still dominated by kapuso show lead by "Eat Bulaga".

ABS-CBN's Musical-talk show "Gandang Gabi Vice" hosted by himself, Vice Ganda debuts no. 1 in AGB Mega Manila People and Household Ratings and in Kantar Nationwide Ratings. Pinakain ng show ni Vice Ganda ang mga kalaban nitong show tulad ng "Show Me Da Manny", "USI" and "My Darling kong Aswang". It topped the ratings game by getting 11.8% in AGB People Ratings while it registered 22.7% in AGB Household Ratings. While in Kantar Media Research, Vice Ganda's talk show became victorious because it rating is more than double compare to its rival "Show Me Da Manny".

Kapamilya programs continue its dominance in Primetime races in Mega Manila as "100 Days to heaven", "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin" and "Mara Clara"  continue to massacre their rival programs from GMA-7 and TV-5. 

However, GMA-7's korean novela "Secret Garden" is unbeaten by "Green Rose". While "TV Patrol" have a tight battle between "Wiltime Bigtime", but "24 Oras" still dominate the said timeslot.

To conclude everything, GMA-7 dominates the Daytime while ABS-CBN dominates the Primetime and TV5 struggles to get attention from viewers.

ATTY. GOZON: If I find that the other channels have less, natutuwa ako

In an interview by Philippine Daily Inquirer to the country's most successful TV executive, Atty. Gozon admitted his obsession on strictly monitoring archival rival, ABS-CBN.Being, as he said, “too educated” in the ways of television production, Felipe L. Gozon –president, chair and CEO of broadcasting giant GMA 7—didn’t mind admitting that watching shows on the small screen had become “clinical” for him.

“I analyze everything, especially the ad load. If I find that the other channels have less, natutuwa ako,” Gozon said, grinning.

That “forthright” as a description sat well with the Kapuso boss was fairly common knowledge, and during a visit to his office on the 16th floor of the GMA 7 studios in Quezon City, Inquirer Entertainment found exactly to what extent the term applied.

BLINDITEM: TV show, biglang tsinugi nang walang kaabog-abog!

OVER THE PAST six months, there had been a spate of cancelled shows on TV one after another. At ang pagkakapareho ng mga ito before they got axed on air ay ang kawalan ng sapat na panahon para abisuhan ang mga talents—both artists and the production team—that their happy days were over.

Siyempre, ikinaloka ‘yon ng buong staff lalung-lalo na ang dalawang main hosts ng programa, to think na wala namang prior notice man lang ang biglang pagkakakansela ng show. Their collective thought was: “Ganu’n na lang ba ‘yon?!”

Hindi raw sana sasama ang loob ng staff na kung hindi man pupuwedeng paabutin ‘yon ng isang season (or equivalent to 13 weeks), maanong kahit isang linggong allowance ay binigyan sila ng management?

HOT: Richard Gutierrez's car caught speeding on Commonwealth

MANILA, Philippines - A car carrying actor Richard Gutierrez was stopped by traffic enforcers Wednesday morning for beating the speed limit on Commonwealth Avenue.

A staff member from the Metro Manila Development Authority Management Non-Contact Policy Program said Gutierrez's driver was driving a brand new white Audi without license plates. He said the car was clocked at 79 kph, which is above the 60 kph speed limit on Commonwealth.

He said the actor's car was stopped near Iglesia Ni Cristo church at 8:10 a.m.

"Medyo nagkaroon ng interception. Mayroon po kaming video. Nag-speed limit po siya 79 kph. Ang limit po ay 60. Na-ticket-an lang po siya. Hindi po siya ang nagda-drive ng Audi white. Wala pang plaka, brand new po," the staff said.

GMA-7's AD Revenues INCREASE! NET PROFIT DECLINE !

MANILA, Philippines—Broadcasting giant GMA Network posted a 37.5-percent decline in first-quarter net profit to P534 million compared with the same period last year, which had benefited from extraordinary political advertising ahead of the Presidential elections.

In a press statement on Monday, GMA-7 reported, however, that regular advertising and subscription accounts in the first quarter grew by 18 percent from a year ago. Consolidated gross revenues from regular advertising and subscription accounts in the first three months amounted to P3.138 billion from P2.652 billion a year ago, after stripping off P973 million worth of political ads.

"Wiltime Bigtime" Premieres at no.1 !

Willie Revillame's comeback via "Wiltime Bigtime" is a big explosion. The show premieres at no. 1 in Primetime ratings last saturday according to AGB Nielsen Media Research. It gets 37.5% audience share in MegaTam while its competitor only posted GMA7-26.0% and ABS-CBN - 19.5% audience shares.

Wil Time Bigtime airs weeknights at 6:30pm and on Saturdays at 5:00pm.

Guns and Roses soon on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida

GenSan's "True Colors" is the 3rd Showtime Grand Champion

Yesterday, May 14, 2011, Showtime Season 3 held their Grand All-Star Barangayan in Ynarez, Antipolo. Ans once again, a representative from General Santos City is been proclaimed as the Grand Champion, the "True Colors".They got a perfect 10 score from the 24 judges that afternoon. 

They won 2 million pesos. 1 million for their team and another 1 million for their barangay.

Sam Milby and KC Concepcion's "Forever and a Day" Teaser Trailer Released

Star Cinema released another teaser for their upcoming movie titled "Forever and a Day" which stars Kapamilya Hearthrob Sam Milby and Mega's Daughter KC Concepcion.

ABS-CBN Net Income nearly 1-B in Q1 2011!

 

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN Corp. on Thursday reported lower first quarter earnings due to the absence of election-related advertisements.

The country's largest multimedia conglomerate said consolidated net income during the first 3 months of 2011 fell 10% from a year ago to P976 million as revenues went down 15% to P6.6 billion.

However, stripping out one-time gains, core net income was P302 million, up 12% versus last year's recurring earnings of P269 million, ABS-CBN chief finance officer Rolando Valdueza said in a briefing.
